What Does Superbonder Do?
Superbonder is a finishing product used after the lash-extension set has been completed.
It supports the final curing of cyanoacrylate adhesive and helps maintain flexibility within the cured adhesive bond.
Unlike a cleanser, pH Balancer or other preparation product, Superbonder isn't used before application.

Correctly cured, well-formed adhesive bonds are an important part of good retention.
But Superbonder isn't a magic retention fix.
Preparation, adhesive speed, temperature, humidity, attachment, technique and client aftercare all matter too.
How to Use Superbonder
After completing the lash set:
- Wait approximately 3 minutes.
- Apply a small amount to the adhesive bonding points using a clean microbrush.
- Avoid saturating the lashes.
- Allow approximately 2–3 minutes to dry before the client opens their eyes.
Use sparingly. You only need a small amount around the adhesive bonds.
Can Superbonder Reduce Adhesive Fumes?
Superbonder supports the final curing process, helping reduce the amount of uncured adhesive remaining at the end of the treatment.
However, this is an important distinction:
Superbonder does not make lash adhesive hypoallergenic.
It doesn't remove cyanoacrylate from the adhesive and should never be used as a way of making cyanoacrylate adhesive suitable for someone with a known allergy.
Does Superbonder Improve Retention?
It can support a good retention routine, but retention isn't determined by Superbonder alone.
Retention can also be affected by:
- Natural lash preparation
- Adhesive curing speed
- Temperature and humidity
- Attachment
- Application technique
- Natural lash condition and cycle
- Client aftercare
If you're experiencing poor retention, identifying why it's happening is more useful than simply adding another product.
Styling Tip: Creating Defined Spikes
Superbonder isn't only useful at the adhesive bond.
It can also be used very sparingly on the tips of lash fibres when creating defined spikes for textured or wet-look lash sets.
Use only a tiny amount to bring the fibres together and create a more defined point.
pH Balancer, Retention Booster or Superbonder?
They do different jobs.
pH Balancer → Prep
Helps clean and balance the natural lash surface before application.
Low Humidity Retention Booster → Support the cure
Used when lower humidity is causing your adhesive to cure too slowly. It can also assist with handmade Volume fan control.
Superbonder → Finish
Used after completing the set to support final curing and bond flexibility.
You don't need to use every product on every client.
Choose products according to what the lashes, adhesive and working environment actually need.
