From a small Norfolk town to an award-winning UK lash brand

When Ladybug Lashes launched in March 2023, nobody knew who we were.

We didn’t have an established academy behind us, thousands of followers or an existing customer base ready to buy. We started from zero in the small Norfolk town of Swaffham, with one aim: to do things a little differently.

Within just six months, we had already outgrown working from home and moved into our warehouse.

Now, only three years after launching, we’re incredibly proud to have been named Best Professional Lash Supplies Brand 2026 in the SME News Business Elite Awards 2026.

For a small independent business like ours, that feels pretty incredible.

More than just selling lash products

Ladybug Lashes has always been built around quality, transparency, education and trust.

We won’t put the Ladybug name on a product unless we genuinely believe in it.

Before new products reach our shelves, we test them. We work with lash artists of different experience levels and working styles because we want genuine feedback about performance, usability, durability and results - not simply whether something looks good enough to market.

When we moved away from imported lash adhesives to our UK-manufactured cosmetic-grade range, we tested around 36 different adhesive formulations, involving artists who already used our existing adhesives to help us find the right replacements.

We actually ended up reducing our adhesive range.

Because having more products to sell has never been more important to us than having the right products to sell.

Sometimes, we’d rather you spend less

That might sound like a strange thing for a retailer to say, but it’s an important part of the Ladybug ethos.

It’s why we offer samples across so much of our range - from lash adhesives and lash trays to pH Balancer, Retention Booster, Super Bonder and even our lash lift systems.

We would rather you try a sample first than spend money on a full-size product and discover it isn’t right for you.

The most expensive option isn’t automatically the best. The fastest adhesive isn’t automatically the right adhesive. And sometimes we’ll genuinely tell you that you don’t need to buy something at all.

One sale is great.

Your trust is worth considerably more.

Doing things a little differently

As Ladybug has grown, we’ve continued looking for ways to make things better for the lash professionals who shop with us.

Today, our range includes professional lash extensions, UK-manufactured cosmetic-grade lash liquids, lash lift and brow products, tools and accredited training.

And Ladybug has travelled much further than we could ever have imagined when we started from home in Swaffham.

We now supply lash professionals throughout the UK and internationally, with the USA becoming our second-largest market.

Have we always got everything right?

Absolutely not.

Like every growing business, we’ve made mistakes. We’ve tested products that didn’t make the cut. We’ve changed things when we realised there was a better way.

And we’re still learning.

But one thing has never changed: our customers are at the heart of the decisions we make.

We’ll continue asking questions, challenging industry norms and being transparent about the products we sell.

What this award means to us

Being named Best Professional Lash Supplies Brand 2026 after only three years in business feels slightly surreal.

We’re still a small, independent lash brand operating from a little town in Norfolk.

But perhaps that makes this recognition mean even more.

It shows that you don’t have to be the biggest or oldest brand in an industry to make an impact.

You can choose transparency over hype.

You can put product knowledge and safety ahead of gimmicks.

You can recommend the sample instead of the full-size bottle.

And you can build a business by genuinely caring about the professionals who trust you with their business.
