Why Choose the Lash Retention Trio?

Good retention isn't created by one product alone.

Preparation, adhesive choice, application speed, attachment, temperature, humidity and aftercare all play a part.

The trio lets you trial three products with three different jobs:

pH Balancer → Prep
Lash Adhesive → Bond
Superbonder → Finish

It's not about adding more products for the sake of it. It's about understanding what each product does and deciding what works within your own treatments.

1. pH Balancer – Prep

Used after cleansing, our pH Balancer helps remove light residue and oils while preparing the natural lash surface for adhesive application.

It contains less alcohol than a traditional strong primer and is designed for controlled professional use where appropriate.

Apply sparingly with a clean microbrush and allow the lashes to dry completely before application.

The aim isn't to aggressively strip the natural lash.

2. Choose Your 1g Lash Adhesive – Bond

Choose the adhesive that matches your actual application speed, rather than simply choosing the fastest.

Meadow – 1–2 Seconds

A more forgiving curing speed for newly qualified or slower lash artists who need additional placement time.

Spring – Approx. 1 Second

For intermediate and confident artists looking for a faster cure while maintaining control.

Wildflower – 0.5–1 Second

For fast, confident lash artists with quick placement.

Damselfly – Approx. 0.3 Seconds

Our fastest adhesive, designed for advanced artists with extremely fast placement.

An adhesive that cures too quickly may begin curing before you've completed the attachment, potentially contributing to poor bonding or pop-offs.

An adhesive that cures too slowly can leave extensions mobile for longer, increasing the risk of stickies.

The fastest glue isn't automatically the best glue. The right speed for you is.

3. Superbonder – Finish

Superbonder is the finishing step.

Once the set is complete, it is applied sparingly to the adhesive bonding points to support final curing and help maintain a more flexible cured bond.

Wait approximately 3 minutes after completing the set, apply a small amount using a clean microbrush and allow approximately 2–3 minutes to dry before the client opens their eyes.

Superbonder can support a controlled retention routine, but it doesn't replace correct preparation, attachment or adhesive choice.

Working Environment

Our adhesives are designed to work within:

Temperature: 20–24°C / 68–75°F
Humidity: 40–70% RH
Sweet spot: Approx. 55% RH

Higher humidity will generally accelerate curing, while lower humidity will generally slow it down.

If your humidity is low and your adhesive is curing too slowly, our Low Humidity Retention Booster may be more appropriate than simply adding additional prep products.

The Lash Retention Trio is designed to support a good working routine, not compensate for poor attachment or an adhesive that doesn't suit your speed or environment.

All three products are manufactured in the UK using cosmetic-grade ingredients and controlled manufacturing processes.

pH Balancer Ingredients

Aqua, Alcohol Denat., Parfum, Biotin, Cinnamal, Eugenol, Limonene

Lash Adhesive Ingredients

Ethyl-2-Cyanoacrylate, Trimethylolpropane Triacrylate, Butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHA), Carbon Black

Carbon Black is excluded from clear adhesive formulations.

Superbonder Ingredients

Aqua, Alcohol Denat., Parfum, Sodium Hydroxide, Biotin

Sample Shelf Life

Because these are 1g samples, they have a shorter usable life than the equivalent full-size products.

pH Balancer & Superbonder
Unopened: Approx. 2 months
Once opened: Use within 30 days for best performance

1g Lash Adhesive
Unopened: Approx. 3 weeks
Once opened: Use within 3–5 days for best performance

Due to their small volume, samples can be more sensitive to air exposure and may dry out more quickly.

All samples are freshly packaged prior to dispatch.

Patch Testing

Ladybug Lashes requires a patch test before using our lash adhesive on a client.

Carry out the patch test 24–48 hours before treatment using the adhesive intended for the full application.

For lash extension adhesive, our recommended method is to apply 5–10 lash extensions per eye, rather than applying adhesive directly to the skin.

A negative patch test cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur during or after a full treatment. Always follow any additional requirements set by your insurer.
