Why Choose the Lash Retention Trio?

Good retention isn't created by one product alone.

Preparation, adhesive choice, application speed, attachment, room conditions and aftercare all work together.

This trio gives you the chance to trial three products that each support a different stage of the treatment:

pH Balancer → prep

Lash Adhesive → bond

Superbonder → finish

The aim is not to use more products for the sake of it.

It's to understand what each one does and decide whether it fits your working routine.

1. pH Balancer – 1g

Our pH Balancer is used during preparation after cleansing.

It helps remove light residue and oils while supporting a cleaner, more balanced lash surface before adhesive application.

It is lower in alcohol than a traditional strong primer and is designed for routine professional use when appropriate.

Use a small amount with a clean microbrush and allow the lashes to dry fully before beginning application.

The goal is not to aggressively strip the natural lashes.

It is to clean, balance and prepare the lash surface.

2. Superbonder – 1g

Superbonder is your finishing step.

After the lash set is complete, it is applied sparingly to the adhesive bonding points to support final curing and help maintain a more flexible cured bond.

Wait approximately 3 minutes after completing the set, apply a small amount using a clean microbrush, then allow around 2–3 minutes to dry before the client opens their eyes.

Superbonder can support a well-controlled retention routine, but it does not replace correct prep, attachment or adhesive choice.

3. Your Choice of Cosmetic Grade Lash Adhesive – 1g

Choose the 1g adhesive sample that best matches your application speed.

Meadow – 1–2 Seconds

Best for newly qualified or slower lash artists who need more placement time.

Spring – Approx. 1 Second

Best for intermediate and confident lash artists who want a faster cure while maintaining control.

Wildflower – 0.5–1 Second

Best for fast, confident lash artists with quick placement.

Damselfly – Approx. 0.3 Seconds

Our fastest traditional adhesive, designed for advanced lash artists with extremely fast placement.

Choose according to your actual working speed, not simply the fastest option.

If an adhesive cures too quickly for you, it may begin curing before you've completed the attachment, which can contribute to pop-offs.

If it cures too slowly, lashes can remain mobile and increase the risk of stickies.

Working Environment

Our traditional adhesives are designed to work within:

Temperature: 20–24°C (68–75°F)
Humidity: 40–70% RH
Sweet spot: Approximately 55% RH

Higher humidity will generally speed curing, while lower humidity will generally slow it down.

If your room humidity is low and your adhesive is curing too slowly, our Low Humidity Retention Booster may be more appropriate than adding extra prep products.

What's the Difference Between the Three Products?

Think of the trio like this:

pH Balancer → prepares the natural lash surface.

Lash Adhesive → creates the bond.

Superbonder → supports the final curing stage and bond flexibility.

Each has a different role.

You do not need to use every extra product on every client if it isn't appropriate.

Does This Trio Guarantee Better Retention?

No.

Retention depends on much more than one product set.

It is also influenced by:

• Adhesive speed
• Temperature and humidity
• Natural lash condition
• Attachment
• Application technique
• Client aftercare
• Natural lash cycle

The trio is designed to support a good working routine, not compensate for poor attachment or an unsuitable adhesive.

All three products in the Lash Retention Trio are manufactured in the UK using cosmetic-grade ingredients and controlled manufacturing processes.

pH Balancer Ingredients

Aqua, Alcohol Denat., Parfum, Biotin, Cinnamal, Eugenol, Limonene

Superbonder Ingredients

Aqua, Alcohol Denat., Parfum, Sodium Hydroxide, Biotin

Lash Adhesive Ingredients

Ethyl-2-Cyanoacrylate, Trimethylolpropane Triacrylate, Butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHA), Carbon Black

Sample Shelf Life

Because these are 1g samples, their shelf lives are shorter than full-size products.

pH Balancer & Superbonder

Unopened: Approximately 2 months
Once opened: Use within 30 days for best performance

1g Lash Adhesive

Unopened: Approximately 3 weeks
Once opened: Use within 3–5 days for best performance

Due to their smaller size, samples may dry out more quickly than full-size products.

All samples are freshly packaged prior to dispatch.

Patch Testing

Ladybug Lashes requires a patch test before using our lash adhesive on a client.

Patch testing should be carried out 24–48 hours before treatment using the adhesive that will be used for the full application.

For lash-extension adhesive, our recommended method is to apply 5–10 lash extensions per eye, rather than applying adhesive directly to the skin.

A negative patch test cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur during or after the full treatment, but the required patch test should still be completed.

Always follow any additional requirements set by your insurer.
