The Ladybug Lashes Low Humidity Retention System brings together four professional products:

Lash Shampoo – cleans the natural lashes before application.

Low Humidity Retention Booster 10ml – supports adhesive curing when lower humidity is slowing it down.

Your Choice of Cosmetic Grade Lash Adhesive – choose the adhesive speed that matches the way you work.

Superbonder 10ml – your finishing step, used after application to support final adhesive curing and bond flexibility.

Please note that the shampoo size differs between the two systems: the scented system contains 30ml Bubblegum Lash Shampoo, while the unscented system contains 50ml Unscented Lash & Brow Shampoo.

Why Low Humidity Affects Lash Adhesive

Cyanoacrylate lash adhesive reacts with moisture.

When humidity drops, your adhesive will generally cure more slowly. This can leave lashes mobile for longer after placement, increase the risk of stickies and make an adhesive feel slower than you're used to.

This system gives you products for four different stages of your treatment:

CLEAN → SUPPORT → BOND → FINISH

The aim isn't simply to make your adhesive as fast as possible.

It's to help you create a working routine that suits your environment, adhesive and application speed.

1. Lash Shampoo – Clean

Good retention starts with properly cleansed natural lashes.

Both versions of the system include a UK-made, cosmetic-grade Lash Shampoo to help remove natural oils, makeup, skincare residue and everyday buildup before application.

Choose the Scented System to receive our 30ml Bubblegum Lash Shampoo, or choose the Unscented System to receive our 50ml Unscented Lash & Brow Shampoo.

Rinse thoroughly after cleansing and make sure the natural lashes are completely clean and dry before continuing with your preparation.

2. Low Humidity Retention Booster 10ml – Support

Our Retention Booster is designed to support adhesive curing when you're working in lower-humidity conditions.

It may be useful when:

• Your room humidity is lower than usual
• Your adhesive is curing more slowly than expected
• Lashes remain mobile after placement
• You're experiencing more stickies because the adhesive isn't curing quickly enough

It can also be applied sparingly to the lash strip during handmade Volume work to help with fan control.

Not recommended for Easy Fan lashes.

If your adhesive is already curing quickly, don't automatically use Retention Booster. Making an already-fast adhesive cure even faster can contribute to poor attachment and pop-offs.

3. Your Choice of Cosmetic Grade Lash Adhesive – Bond

Choose the adhesive that matches your actual application speed.

Meadow – 1–2 Seconds

Best for newly qualified or slower lash artists who need more placement time.

Spring – Approx. 1 Second

Best for intermediate and confident lash artists who want a faster cure while maintaining control.

Wildflower – 0.5–1 Second

Best for fast, confident lash artists with quick placement.

Damselfly – Approx. 0.3 Seconds

Our fastest traditional adhesive, designed for advanced lash artists with extremely fast placement.

Don't simply choose the fastest adhesive available.

An adhesive that cures too quickly for your technique may begin curing before you've completed the attachment, potentially contributing to pop-offs.

An adhesive that cures too slowly can remain mobile after placement and increase the risk of stickies.

4. Superbonder 10ml – Finish

Superbonder is your finishing step.

After completing your lash set, it is applied sparingly to the adhesive bonding points to support final adhesive curing and help maintain a more flexible cured bond.

Wait approximately 3 minutes after completing the set, apply a small amount using a clean microbrush, then allow approximately 2–3 minutes to dry before the client opens their eyes.

Superbonder can form part of a good retention routine, but it cannot compensate for poor attachment or an unsuitable adhesive speed.

Working Environment

Our traditional adhesives are designed to work within:

Temperature: 20–24°C (68–75°F)
Humidity: 40–70% RH
Sweet spot: Approximately 55% RH

Higher humidity will generally speed up curing.

Lower humidity will generally slow it down.

The Retention Booster within this system is specifically included to help when lower humidity is causing your adhesive to cure too slowly.

Does the Low Humidity Retention System Guarantee Better Retention?

No product system can guarantee retention.

This system is designed to support your working routine in lower humidity, but retention is also influenced by:

• Adhesive speed
• Temperature and humidity
• Natural lash preparation
• Correct attachment
• Application technique
• Natural lash condition and cycle
• Client aftercare

If your adhesive is already curing at the correct speed, making it faster won't necessarily improve retention.

The goal is correct curing speed, not simply faster curing.

Patch Testing

Ladybug Lashes requires a patch test before using our lash adhesive on a client.

Patch testing should be completed 24–48 hours before treatment using the adhesive that will be used for the full application.

For lash-extension adhesive, our recommended method is to apply 5–10 lash extensions per eye, rather than applying adhesive directly to the skin.

A negative patch test cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur during or after a full treatment.

Always follow any additional requirements set by your insurer.

New to Ladybug Lashes Adhesives?

If you haven't used our adhesives before, we'd recommend trying a 1g adhesive sample first.

Different formulations can feel very different to work with, even where advertised curing speeds appear similar.

Trying a sample allows you to find the adhesive that suits your application speed and environment before committing to a full-size bottle.
