Damselfly Clear is our UK-manufactured, cosmetic-grade professional lash adhesive, with an ultra-fast drying time of approximately 0.3 seconds and very thin viscosity.

With no black pigment, it creates a clean, virtually invisible attachment, making it particularly useful for brown lashes, coloured lashes and creative sets where a black adhesive bond may be more noticeable.

It is designed for experienced lash artists with extremely fast, accurate placement. If your placement isn't quick enough, Damselfly Clear may begin curing before you have completed your attachment, which can contribute to poor bonding and lash pop-offs.

Is Damselfly Clear the Right Lash Glue for You?

Damselfly Clear gives you the ultra-fast performance of Damselfly with a clear finish instead of black.

It's an excellent choice if you work with brown, coloured or creative lashes and don't want a black adhesive bond interfering with the finished result.

Choosing your adhesive should also be based on your application speed, rather than simply choosing the fastest adhesive available.

Damselfly Clear is our fastest clear adhesive at approximately 0.3 seconds and is intended for technicians with extremely quick, confident isolation and placement.

If you're experiencing lash pop-offs during application, your adhesive may be curing before you've completed the attachment. In this situation, Damselfly Clear may be too fast for your current working speed.

If you want a clear adhesive with slightly more placement time, consider Wildflower Clear (0.5–1 second) instead.

Damselfly Clear is manufactured in the UK specifically for professional lash-extension use, using cosmetic-grade ingredients and controlled manufacturing processes.

We moved our adhesive range to cosmetic-grade UK manufacturing because we wanted greater ingredient transparency, carefully controlled formulations and products developed specifically with professional lash treatments in mind.

Damselfly Clear uses BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole) as its stabiliser.

We believe lash artists should know what they are working with, which is why we clearly provide our adhesive ingredients and are open about the stabilising system used within our formulation.

Damselfly Clear Working Conditions

Your room conditions affect how quickly cyanoacrylate adhesive cures.

Damselfly Clear's recommended working environment is:

Temperature: 20–24°C (68–75°F)
Humidity: 40–70% RH
Sweet spot: Approximately 55% RH

Higher humidity will generally make your adhesive cure faster, while lower humidity will generally slow it down.

Because Damselfly Clear is already an extremely fast adhesive, your working environment and placement speed are particularly important. In warmer or more humid conditions, it may cure even faster than you're expecting.

If your humidity is lower and your adhesive is curing too slowly, our Low Humidity Retention Booster can be used according to its instructions.

How to Use Damselfly Clear Lash Adhesive

Shake Damselfly Clear by hand for a full two minutes before your first use of the day to thoroughly mix the formulation.

Between adhesive drops, shake for approximately 30 seconds.

When dispensing your adhesive:

• Remove the cap before shaking
• Shake the bottle side to side rather than vigorously up and down
• Turn the bottle upside down and allow gravity to dispense the drop rather than squeezing the bottle
• Use small, fresh drops throughout your treatment
• Wipe the nozzle after dispensing with a lint-free wipe
• Replace the cap securely between uses

Correct adhesive handling helps maintain consistency and reduces product build-up around the nozzle.

How to Store Damselfly Clear

Store Damselfly Clear in a cool, dark place, inside its airtight storage container with the silica pack provided.

Keep the bottle upright and the cap securely closed.

Avoid unnecessary exposure to heat, humidity and direct sunlight.

Unopened shelf life: Up to 12 months
Opened shelf life: 90+ days when correctly stored and handled

Always refer to the expiry information supplied with your individual product.

Getting the Best Retention From Damselfly Clear

Retention isn't determined by your adhesive alone.

Preparation, attachment, application speed, natural lash condition, room environment, client aftercare and the natural lash cycle can all affect how long extensions remain attached.

Damselfly Clear can provide up to approximately 6–7 weeks' retention under suitable conditions, but this isn't a guarantee for every client.

Our pH Balancer, Low Humidity Retention Booster and Super Bonder can also be incorporated into your treatment where appropriate. Additional products should be chosen according to the client's lashes, your working environment and the individual product instructions rather than automatically being used with every set.

First Time Using Ladybug Lashes Adhesive?

If you're switching from another brand, don't assume a 0.3-second adhesive will feel identical to another adhesive with the same stated speed.

Differences in formulation, viscosity, stabilising systems, environment and application technique can all affect how an adhesive feels to work with.

That's why we recommend trying one of our 1g Lash Glue Samples before committing to a full-size bottle if you've never used our adhesives before.

Damselfly Clear Lash Adhesive FAQs

What's the difference between Damselfly Black and Damselfly Clear?

Both have an ultra-fast approximately 0.3-second drying time and very thin viscosity.

The main visible difference is the colour.

Damselfly Black contains black pigment, while Damselfly Clear contains no black pigment. This makes Clear particularly useful for brown, coloured and creative lashes where you want the attachment to remain discreet.

What's the difference between Damselfly Clear and Wildflower Clear?

The biggest difference is speed.

Damselfly Clear is approximately 0.3 seconds, making it our fastest clear adhesive.

Wildflower Clear is 0.5–1 second, giving you slightly more placement time.

If you're unsure, choose the adhesive that best matches your actual working speed, rather than automatically choosing the fastest.

Is Damselfly Clear suitable for beginners?

No. Damselfly Clear is designed for advanced lash artists with exceptionally quick placement.

If you're newly qualified or still developing your speed, a slower adhesive will usually be more appropriate.

Can Damselfly Clear be used for Classic and Volume lashes?

Yes. Damselfly Clear can be used for professional Classic and Volume lash-extension techniques.

It can be particularly useful with brown and coloured lashes because there is no black pigment in the adhesive.

The important factor is whether its approximately 0.3-second curing speed matches your application speed.

Why am I getting pop-offs with Damselfly Clear?

Pop-offs during application can be a sign that the adhesive is curing before you've completed the attachment.

Because Damselfly Clear is extremely fast, even an experienced artist may find it too quick depending on their placement speed and working environment.

Check your temperature and humidity and consider whether Wildflower Clear (0.5–1 second) would better suit your technique.

Does Damselfly Clear have low fumes?

Damselfly Clear is classed within our range as having minimal fumes.

However, minimal fumes does not mean allergy-free, hypoallergenic or suitable for someone with a known cyanoacrylate allergy.

Is clear lash adhesive better for allergies?

No.

Damselfly Clear doesn't contain Carbon Black, but it still contains cyanoacrylate.

Clear adhesive should therefore not be presented as an allergy-safe alternative for someone with a known adhesive or cyanoacrylate allergy.

Do I need to patch test Damselfly Clear?

Yes. Ladybug Lashes requires a patch test before using Damselfly Clear on a client.

Patch testing should be carried out 24–48 hours before treatment using the adhesive that will be used for the full application.

For lash extension adhesive, our recommended method is to apply 5–10 lash extensions per eye, rather than applying adhesive directly to the skin.

A negative patch test cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur during or after a full treatment, but the required patch test should still be completed.

Always also follow any additional requirements set by your insurer.

Can I use Damselfly Clear on myself?

No. Damselfly Clear is a professional-use lash-extension adhesive and is not suitable for self-application, DIY lashes or strip lashes.
