Dew Drop is our UK cosmetic-grade UV lash adhesive, developed specifically for professional lash-extension use and designed to cure under compatible 365–395nm UV/LED light.

Unlike our traditional lash adhesives, Dew Drop uses a photoinitiator that allows the adhesive to cure when exposed to a suitable UV/LED light source, giving trained UV lash artists greater control over when the bond cures.

How Does Dew Drop UV Lash Adhesive Cure?

Dew Drop is designed to cure when exposed to a compatible 365–395nm UV/LED light source.

Curing performance can vary depending on the equipment being used.

Lamp wavelength, light intensity, distance from the adhesive, exposure time and other characteristics of the individual UV system can affect curing behaviour.

For some trained users the bond may cure virtually instantly, while other compatible systems may require a few seconds.

For this reason, we do not state one universal curing time or recommend settings for equipment we have not supplied or tested.

Your UV equipment should always be used according to its manufacturer's instructions and the training you have received.

Cosmetic-Grade UV Lash Adhesive

Dew Drop was developed because we wanted to offer professional UV lash artists an adhesive built around the same principles as the rest of our range: cosmetic-grade formulation, ingredient transparency and carefully controlled manufacturing.

It uses BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole) as its stabiliser and a photoinitiator to enable UV curing.

Dew Drop is a TPO-free formulation.

Why Can Dew Drop Behave Differently From Other UV Adhesives?

Not all UV lash adhesives use the same formulation.

Dew Drop is a cosmetic-grade UV adhesive and may therefore feel or behave differently from another UV adhesive you've previously used.

Once dispensed, the adhesive drop can also be affected by direct or reflected UV/LED light, heat, lamp position and reflective surfaces within your working area.

If your adhesive drop appears to be curing or thickening too quickly, this doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem with the adhesive.

Stray or reflected UV/LED light may be reaching the drop.

To help maintain your working time:

• Keep the adhesive drop outside the direct lamp beam
• Be aware of reflected light from nearby surfaces
• Dispense smaller, fresh drops more frequently
• Keep the bottle capped when not dispensing
• Keep the bottle itself away from your UV/LED light source

Depending on your existing professional setup, a suitable UV-blocking film, light filter, lamp shield or cover may help reduce unwanted light reaching the adhesive drop.

How to Store Dew Drop

Storage differs depending on whether the bottle has been opened.

Before Opening

For best performance and stability, store unopened Dew Drop adhesive refrigerated.

Before opening a refrigerated bottle, allow the sealed bottle to return naturally to room temperature.

Do not open the bottle while it is still cold.

After Opening

Once opened:

• Do not return the bottle to the refrigerator
• Store upright in a cool, dry place
• Keep away from heat and moisture
• Keep away from direct sunlight
• Keep away from UV/LED lamps and other light sources
• Keep the cap securely closed between uses

Unopened shelf life: Up to 12 months
Opened shelf life: Minimum 3 months when correctly stored

The professional using the product is responsible for ensuring that their equipment is suitable and compliant and that they are trained and insured to use it.

Patch Testing

Ladybug Lashes requires a patch test before using Dew Drop on a client.

Patch testing should be carried out 24–48 hours before treatment using the adhesive and UV system that will be used for the full application.

For lash-extension adhesive, our recommended method is to apply 5–10 lash extensions per eye, rather than applying adhesive directly to the skin.

A negative patch test cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur during or following a full treatment.

Always follow any additional requirements set by your insurer and UV lash training provider.

Is UV lash adhesive allergy-free?

No.

Dew Drop contains Ethyl-2-Cyanoacrylate, so it should never be described as allergy-free or hypoallergenic.

UV curing changes how the adhesive is cured; it does not remove cyanoacrylate from the formulation.

Why is my Dew Drop glue drop becoming thick?

Direct or reflected UV/LED light reaching the adhesive drop can begin the curing process.

Heat and your individual UV setup can also affect how the dispensed adhesive behaves.

Keep your glue drop away from direct and reflected light and use small, fresh drops regularly.

Should I refrigerate Dew Drop?

Before opening: Yes, unopened bottles should be refrigerated for best performance and stability.
