How Does Lash Lift Balm Affect Processing Time?

Because the balm sits between the natural lash and the lifting solution, it can slow the penetration of Step 1.

When using our Lash Lift Balm, increase your normal processing time by 10–15%.

For example, if your normal processing time is 6 minutes, an additional 10–15% is approximately 36–54 seconds.

Always continue to assess the condition and response of the natural lashes throughout the treatment.

Repositioning the Lashes

One of the benefits of the balm is that lashes can be refined after initial placement.

If you need to reposition an area, lightly dampen your applicator to help reactivate the balm, then adjust the lashes carefully.

Avoid over-wetting the product or repeatedly manipulating the lashes unnecessarily.

How to Use Lash Lift Balm

1. Decant a small pea-sized amount into a clean palette or ring.
2. Apply a thin layer to the lash lift shield using a silicone brush or suitable applicator.
3. Lift the natural lashes onto the shield.
4. Separate and position the lashes carefully.
5. Refine placement using your preferred lash lift tool or Y-comb.
6. Once you're happy with the direction and separation, proceed with Step 1 according to your lash lift system instructions.

Use the minimum amount required to achieve controlled placement.

Is Lash Lift Balm the Same as Lash Lift Glue?

They perform a similar job, but they feel different to work with.

Traditional lash lift adhesive generally gives a firmer, faster hold.

Lash Lift Balm provides a softer, more flexible working texture, which can make repositioning easier during placement.

Neither is automatically better. The best choice depends on your technique, the treatment being performed and how you prefer to work.

Can I Use Lash Lift Balm for Korean-Inspired Lash Lifting?

That depends on the technique.

Some Korean-inspired methods use an adhesive-free Step 1, meaning no balm or glue is required during that stage.

For other techniques or later positioning stages, balm may still be useful.

Always follow the method you have been trained in and the instructions for the lash lift system you're using.

Storage & Shelf Life

Correct storage is important from the moment you receive your Lash Lift Balm, including while the product remains unopened.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and high humidity. Avoid storing near radiators, heaters, windowsills or anywhere subject to significant temperature fluctuations.

Here at Ladybug Lashes, our balms are stored in a cool, dry, dark environment to help maintain their consistency and performance.

Unopened shelf life: Up to 12 months when stored correctly.
Once opened: Use within 3 months.

Once opened, keep the lid securely closed after every use and avoid introducing excess air, oil or water into the product, as this can affect its consistency and performance.

Please be aware that storage conditions can affect the consistency of the balm, including while it remains unopened. Incorrect or unsuitable storage may cause the product to become thicker, drier or change in texture over time.

For this reason, we strongly recommend following the storage guidance from the date your order is received.
