This is a 1g sample size, designed for lash artists who want to test the product in their own working environment before committing to the full-size version.

Designed to help lash adhesive cure more effectively in lower-humidity environments and support cleaner, more controlled volume fan pickup.

Our Low Humidity Retention Booster is a UK-manufactured, cosmetic-grade professional lash product designed for use when your treatment room humidity is lower and your adhesive is curing more slowly than expected.

It can also be applied in a small amount to the lash strip during handmade volume work to help improve fan control.

Best for: Low-humidity lash rooms and handmade volume techniques
Use: Natural lash prep or lash-strip application, depending on your technique
Not recommended for: Easy Fan lashes
Professional use only

What Does a Retention Booster Do?

Cyanoacrylate lash adhesive reacts with moisture.

When humidity is lower, your adhesive may cure more slowly, which can affect your working speed and attachment.

Our Retention Booster is designed to help create a more suitable lash surface in drier conditions, supporting a faster and more predictable curing response.

It does not replace correct room conditions or the need to choose an adhesive that matches your application speed.

Think of it as an additional tool for situations where your environment is making your adhesive feel slower than usual.

When Should You Use It?

This product can be particularly useful when:

  • Your room humidity is below your adhesive’s preferred range
  • Your adhesive is curing more slowly than expected
  • Lashes are remaining mobile for too long after placement
  • You are finding that your normal adhesive feels unusually slow in dry conditions

If your adhesive is already curing quickly, adding a booster may make it too fast, which can contribute to poor attachment or pop-offs.

More product is not better.

Use it only when your environment and adhesive behaviour indicate that you actually need it.

How to Use on the Natural Lashes

Apply a small amount using a clean micro applicator to the natural lashes where appropriate.

Avoid saturating the lashes.

Allow the product to dry before beginning application.

Use only where needed and always assess the client’s lashes and your room conditions first.

How to Use for Handmade Volume Fans

A small amount can also be applied to the lash strip before creating handmade volume fans.

This can help the fibres remain more controlled during fan-making and support cleaner fan formation.

Apply sparingly with a micro applicator.

Avoid overloading the strip, as too much product can affect how the lashes behave during pickup.

Not Recommended for Easy Fan Lashes

We do not recommend using the Retention Booster on Easy Fan lashes.

Easy Fan trays are manufactured differently from standard handmade volume fibres, so additional product on the strip may interfere with how the fan base is designed to work.

Will It Improve Retention?

It can support retention indirectly by helping your adhesive cure at a more appropriate speed in lower-humidity conditions.

But retention depends on much more than one product.

It is influenced by:

  • Adhesive speed
  • Temperature and humidity
  • Natural lash preparation
  • Attachment
  • Application technique
  • Client aftercare
  • Natural lash cycle

So this should not be viewed as a fix for every retention problem.

If your adhesive is already curing too quickly, using a booster can actually make things worse.

How Do I Know If My Glue Is Too Slow?

Signs may include:

  • Lashes moving after placement
  • More stickies
  • Adhesive remaining wet longer than expected
  • Having to hold attachments in place
  • Your normal adhesive feeling noticeably slower in dry conditions

If you're seeing pop-offs during placement, the problem may be the opposite — your adhesive could already be curing too quickly.

In that situation, do not automatically reach for a Retention Booster.

Cosmetic-Grade, Made in the UK

Our Retention Booster is manufactured in the UK using cosmetic-grade ingredients and controlled manufacturing processes.

It has been developed specifically for professional lash use.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Alcohol Denat., Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Parfum, CI 16035, Biotin, Triethanolamine, Panthenol

First Time Using Retention Booster?

Start with a very small amount.

Because this product can influence adhesive curing speed, you may need to adjust your technique slightly when introducing it into your setup.

Test how your adhesive behaves in your actual working environment before using more.

Sample Guidance

For sample sizes:

Unopened shelf life: Approximately 2 months
Once opened: Use within 30 days for best performance

Because samples contain a smaller amount of product, they may dry out more quickly than the full-size version.

The Bottom Line

Low humidity can make cyanoacrylate adhesive cure more slowly.

Our Retention Booster gives lash artists another way to manage that when needed, while also offering useful control during handmade volume fan-making.

Use it sparingly and intentionally.

The aim is not to make every adhesive faster.

It is to help your adhesive cure at the right speed for your technique and environment.
