It’s important to clean the lashes at the start of the treatment prior to applying any extensions to ensure any excess oils, dust/dirt or makeup is removed.
This lash shampoo needs to be in every lash technicians kit and is also great to retail to customers to encourage cleaning the lashes in-between treatments.
Cleaning the lashes can reduce the risk of infection, inflammation, and other eye problems, also ensuring no lashes are sticking together causing the client to be uncomfortable and allowing the lashes to naturally shed when they are due which will in turn encourage great retention.
How often should the lashes be washed?
You should clean eyelash extensions at least every other day to remove eye makeup, dirt, dead skin cells, old lash, and bacteria on the lashes. If you have oily eyelids, wash your lash extensions every day to remove natural oils, which can break down the lash glue on your lash extensions.
