Switching Lash Suppliers? Start Here
Thinking about changing lash supplier? You do not need to replace your whole kit overnight or commit to full-size products before you know they suit the way you work.
The simplest way to switch is to test one thing at a time, in your own room, with your own technique and your own clients.
Start with your adhesive
Your lash adhesive should suit your placement speed first. Temperature and humidity will affect how quickly cyanoacrylate cures, but the fastest glue on the shelf is not automatically the best glue for you.
Use our lash adhesive guide to compare speeds, then start with a 1g adhesive sample before moving to a full-size bottle.
Try More Than Just Adhesive
If you are considering a wider supplier change, our professional lash product samples include selected lash adhesives, lash trays, pre-treatment, finishing and lash lift products. They are paid trial sizes designed to help you compare products before committing to full-size stock.
Keep the rest of your routine familiar
If you change your adhesive, prep, lashes and technique all at once, it becomes much harder to work out what made the difference. Keep as much of your normal routine the same as possible while you test a new product.
Judge performance in real salon conditions
Pay attention to how the product behaves while you work, not just the label. Consider pickup, attachment, glue-dot behaviour, fan control, placement speed and how the set performs over the following weeks.
The same adhesive can feel completely different to two artists because application speed, room conditions and technique all affect performance. You can read more in Why Can the Same Lash Glue Feel Completely Different to Two Lash Artists?
Do not change supplier just because retention has dipped
Poor retention is not automatically a glue problem. Before replacing your products, check prep, attachment, adhesive speed, room conditions, natural lash shedding and client aftercare. Our poor lash retention guide can help you troubleshoot first.
Switch gradually
Once you know a product works for you, then it makes sense to build it into your regular kit. There is no prize for changing everything at once.
Start small. Test it properly. Then decide.
